wear it on your right shoulder.with a firm grip so no one tries to snag it.people mostly wears a tote on the right side because thats the first place people look.they look to see what you are wearing or carrying in hands or shoulder.

tote bag looks excellent on your shoulder
messenger bag whould be fine across your breast bone

but if you dont have enough stuff filled and the bag is very much empty… across the shoulder doesnt match much :)

I agree with wearing the tote bag over one shoulder. If you wear it across your breast bone, it will wrinkle your clothes, and I reckon it looks kind of silly that way. Excellent luck!
