Speed Sewing – COMMENT AND SHARE!

Cool video about purses, check it out:

www.origiful.com this is the link to all the bags! 3 minutes of lightning-quick sewing and painting, and you’ve got an awesome shoulder bag. I make a lot of bags, mainly out of ancient clothes and things I find. I started doing this while I was living in Paris a couple years ago. i was doing art shows and painting a lot, but even at the most successful shows you couldn’t expect more than a couple hundred people to come see your work. So I chose to start painting on clothing and bags (a perfect format) because then I could wear my art in public and have shown it to several thousand people in the course of a day. I’ve made about 50 bags now, and sell them in San Francisco. Hopefully it will catch on. Live art in all you do; spread it everywhere. Make masterpieces of your simple routines. www.origiful.com

The bag, yeah that’s okay…

The painting!!! You are a very talented artist :) I’d like to paint like that, but I dread it’s a gift rather than a learnt talent!

I’ve also learned a small French!

nice bag, I especially like “the treachery of images” by Rene Magritte.. what kind of paint did you use?

By SethTheBorderCollie on December 19th, 2010 at 9:01 am

What EXACTLY does “ne pas la tailler” mean?

I’m glad someone finally got the joke (TheCrazyZoe). I told it to my boyfriend and he thought it was brilliant. When he tried to tell it to some others who know a small French, they didn’t get it, even after an explanation. sighh…In any case, I reckon you’re very clever, mr. origiful.

Like the bag!

What kind of paint are you using? Regular acrylic? Fabric Paint? Oils?

By ElileesaInoyue on December 19th, 2010 at 1:50 pm

It might be in reference to the painting “this is not a pipe.”
